Exciting Works in Progress at the 29th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival
The Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event segment of the 29th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) has announced an impressive lineup of 18 works in progress that will take center stage this year. This special showcase features films currently in production or post-production, actively seeking sales agents or festival premieres.
Diverse Selection of Projects
This year’s selection spans three categories: Baltic Event Works in Progress, International Works in Progress, and Just Film Works in Progress. The lineup includes both emerging filmmakers and seasoned directors unveiling their latest projects. "We are delighted by the diversity of the selected films," said Triin Tramberg, project manager of International Works in Progress. "It was essential for us to spotlight films from Ukraine, showcasing their remarkable resilience while supporting filmmakers working under incredibly challenging conditions." This year, the festival received 80 submissions for International Works in Progress, highlighting the vibrant global film community.
Notably, the festival will also feature exciting new titles from Catalonia, including Alba Sotorra‘s latest project, "Salen Las Lobas," following the success of her previous film, "Upon Entry," which debuted in the festival’s inaugural competition.
