Zack Cozart Revises Stance on Trump After Iran Ceasefire Announcement
Former Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart has made headlines after changing his opinion on President Donald Trump’s approach to Iran. Initially, Cozart expressed strong criticism on social media, stating he would "no longer support" the president if the U.S. became embroiled in a conflict with Iran and Israel. However, following Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire agreement, Cozart took to social media to share his updated thoughts.
"I’ll gladly eat my words for what has transpired today… lesson learned to trust the man," Cozart tweeted, demonstrating his newfound support for the president’s diplomatic efforts.
Cozart isn’t alone in praising Trump’s recent actions. Auburn Tigers men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl also voiced his approval, suggesting that Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for his role in negotiating the ceasefire. Pearl tweeted, "This is what a peacemaker and leader of the free world does; he steps in when both sides can’t agree and offers them an opportunity they can’t refuse. I pray that all sides can offer some grace and keep the peace."
As the situation between Iran and Israel unfolded, President Trump attended a NATO summit, urging both nations to cease their hostilities. He expressed frustration over Israel’s actions, stating, "I’m not happy with Israel. When I say you have 12 hours, you don’t go out in the first hour and drop everything you have on them." He further remarked on the long-standing conflict, describing both countries as having fought for so long that they seemed lost in their actions.
