Drawing on a mix of research and creativity, he remarked, "Since 9.4 was designed for offensive purposes, I thought it would be intriguing if its defenses weren’t particularly robust." This concept led to the introduction of Lazar, a brilliant programmer who uncovers a "backdoor" in the system, allowing Tony and Ziva to exploit its vulnerabilities.
The finale also featured an unexpected twist when Martine, who had previously aligned with Jonah, decided to join forces with Tony and Ziva. McNamara described her as a "survivor," explaining, "She was honest with Jonah, but Jonah was not honest with her. So she’s ready to turn the tables."
