"The Voice" Season 28 Welcomes Rock Legends Joe Walsh and Zac Brown as Mega Mentors
The excitement of "The Voice" Season 28 is amplified with the addition of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Joe Walsh and Grammy-winning artist Zac Brown as the new mega mentors. Zac Brown, the frontman of the Zac Brown Band, makes his debut on the show alongside coaches Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, while Joe Walsh teams up with Niall Horan and Reba McEntire.
As the remaining artists gear up for the highly anticipated Knockouts starting on October 27, both mentors bring a wealth of musical experience to the stage. Joe Walsh, renowned for his time with The Eagles, is celebrated for iconic hits such as "Life’s Been Good," "Rocky Mountain Way," "Life in the Fast Lane," and "Funk #49." During his tenure with The Eagles, Walsh was honored with five Grammy Awards.
Zac Brown, a three-time Grammy winner himself, leads the Zac Brown Band, which has impressively achieved six consecutive albums in the Billboard Top 10. The band has also seen five of their albums debut at number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart and has sold an astounding 10.8 million albums to date.
As we head into the Knockouts, each coach will work with eight talented artists, with no saves or steals allowed in this round. Coaches will have the crucial task of selecting which artist from their team will advance to the Playoffs, the final stage before the Live Shows. This season introduces an exciting new feature: the "Mic Drop" button, which allows each coach to highlight an artist whose performance stands out. Viewers at home will have the chance to vote for the "Mic Drop" winner among the four selected artists. The artist receiving the most votes will earn the incredible opportunity to perform at The Rose Parade live on January 1, 2026.
Don’t miss the action! Tune in to "The Voice" every Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
