In an interview with Firstpost, Mouratoglou acknowledged Djokovic’s impressive tennis skills, stating, “I believe he has what it takes to win against Jannik Sinner.” He emphasized that while the match would undoubtedly be competitive, Djokovic has successfully navigated similar challenges in the past.
Mouratoglou noted that Djokovic’s level of play and physical condition are both up to par. However, he emphasized that winning at this stage is less about technical ability and more about mental resilience. “I sensed that Djokovic might have accepted Sinner’s dominance over him, which is unusual for him. I didn’t see the fierce competitor I know, and I still feel that his motivation might not be at the level it needs to be,” he remarked.
