Exciting Casting News for Superman’s Kryptonian Parents in James Gunn’s DCU Reboot
In a thrilling development for fans of the DC Universe, the casting of Superman’s Kryptonian parents has been officially confirmed for James Gunn’s highly anticipated reboot. Acclaimed Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper will take on the role of Jor-El, while the talented Angela Sarafyan, known for her performance in Westworld, will portray Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s biological mother.
This announcement follows a special fan screening of the film’s opening sequence, where both characters play pivotal roles within the iconic Fortress of Solitude. During this sneak peek, fans witnessed a gripping scene in which Superman arrives at the fortress injured, leading to a moment where robotic assistants present a holographic message from Jor-El and Lara, delivered in Kryptonian.
James Gunn, who previously collaborated with Cooper on Guardians of the Galaxy, confirmed the casting during the film’s promotional tour, stating, “It’s Bradley, it’s also Pom [Klementieff], and Michael Rooker is another one of the robots.” These actors, all of whom have worked with Gunn in his Marvel projects, join the captivating scene set in the Fortress of Solitude.
