Apple TV+ Announces Release Date and First Look for Slow Horses Season 5
Exciting news for fans of thrilling espionage dramas! Apple TV+ has officially announced the release date and unveiled the first images for the much-anticipated fifth season of Slow Horses. Based on the acclaimed Slough House novels by Mick Herron, this British spy thriller stars the talented Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, the gruff yet brilliant leader of a team of overlooked British intelligence agents.
Set in Slough House, a place where MI5 sends agents who have made career-ending blunders, the series follows Lamb and his quirky team as they navigate a world filled with intrigue and unexpected missions. According to Apple TV+’s official synopsis, “Everyone is suspicious when resident tech whiz Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend. When a series of bizarre incidents begin to unfold across the city, it’s up to the Slow Horses to uncover how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply.”
Release Date for Slow Horses Season 5
Mark your calendars! The highly anticipated sixth-episode season will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with the first two episodes dropping simultaneously. Following that, a new episode will be released each week, culminating in the season finale on October 22, 2025.

In addition to Gary Oldman, Season 5 features a stellar cast, including Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce. Notably, Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso will join the cast as a special guest star.
Slow Horses is brought to life for television by Will Smith, with executive producers including Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Smith, and Graham Yost.
