Rebel Wilson Recently Injured on Set of “Bride Hard”
Rebel Wilson recently faced a serious injury while filming her latest action-comedy, “Bride Hard.” In an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood, she revealed the details of a “massive injury” she suffered during a fight scene due to a choreography mishap. “During the fight scene, a gun accidentally swung and hit my face,” Wilson explained. “It was such a freak accident, and my nose ended up getting split open. I had to leave the set right away. It was my last night of shooting, and I couldn’t help but think, ‘How unlucky can I be?’”
The incident occurred during the final fight sequence, leaving a “pool of blood” on set. “I was really freaking out,” she admitted. “They had to call an ambulance and a plastic surgeon because without immediate attention, I could have faced permanent disfigurement. Thankfully, the surgeon was able to stitch me up, and now you can hardly tell anything happened.”
Directed by Simon West, known for “Con Air,” “Bride Hard” features an intriguing plot where a wedding is hijacked by mercenaries. Little do they know, the maid of honor is a secret agent prepared to unleash chaos to protect her best friend’s special day. The film boasts a talented cast, including Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Sherry Cola, and Stephen Dorff.
In her review for Variety, Courtney Howard noted, “Although the film has some rough patches and janky visual effects in the third act, it shines thanks to the charming comedic chemistry of the ensemble, sweet themes, and impressive Jackie Chan-style stunts.”
Stay tuned for more updates on “Bride Hard,” as Rebel Wilson continues to prove her resilience both on and off the screen!
