Former Manchester United Star Paul Ince Charged with Drink Driving After Collision in Cheshire

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has been charged with drink driving following a car accident in Cheshire on Saturday. The incident reportedly involved Ince crashing his black Range Rover into a central reservation barrier.

According to a statement from Cheshire Police, the 57-year-old ex-England captain was apprehended at the scene and is set to appear before Cheshire Magistrates next week. A police spokesperson detailed the event, stating: "At approximately 5 PM on Saturday, June 28, we received reports of a collision on Chester High Road, Neston. Officers arrived and arrested a 57-year-old man, identified as Paul Ince, who has since been charged with drink driving. He has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 18."

Reports from the Daily Mail indicate that the collision occurred near Heswall Golf Club, a location where Ince has previously shared content and photos on his Instagram account, which boasts 24,700 followers.

Paul Ince made history as the first black player to captain the England national team, earning 53 caps over his international career. He began his professional journey in the West Ham academy and later made a significant impact at Manchester United, where he spent six successful years. During his time at Old Trafford, Ince won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the 1992 League Cup.
