Park Chan-wook’s "No Other Choice" to Premiere at the Busan International Film Festival

A Gripping Story of Survival
"No Other Choice" tells the compelling story of Man-su, portrayed by Lee Byung-hun, who finds himself in a desperate fight to protect his wife, Miri (played by Son Ye-jin), their two children, and the home he has worked tirelessly to secure. Once content with his successful life, Man-su faces an unexpected job loss that thrusts him into a harrowing battle for survival. This black comedy thriller draws inspiration from Donald Westlake’s novel, “The Ax,” promising a unique blend of dark humor and tension.
Celebrating 30 Years of BIFF
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Busan International Film Festival, a significant milestone in celebrating Asian cinema. Adding to the excitement, Lee Byung-hun will also take on the role of host for the festival’s opening ceremony. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won, enriching the narrative with their performances.
