Celebrate Pride Month: Highlights from WeHo Pride and Upcoming World Pride Events
June has arrived, and with it comes the vibrant celebration of Gay Pride Month! Kicking off the festivities in Los Angeles, WeHo Pride took place over the weekend of May 31 to June 1. This exciting event featured the Outloud Music Festival, showcasing incredible performances from a star-studded lineup, including Maren Morris, Lizzo, Paris Hilton, Kim Petras, Rebecca Black, and Frankie Grande.
The Pride Parade was a spectacle to behold, with supermodel Cara Delevingne serving as the Guardian Icon. Other notable appearances included Nava Mau, former NFL player Chris Kluwe, and Pari Kim from “Love on the Spectrum,” all joining in the celebration of love and inclusivity.
Looking ahead, the following weekend brings World Pride to Washington, D.C., scheduled for June 6 and 7. This year, the parade will honor grand marshals Laverne Cox, Reneé Rapp, and Deacon Maccubbin, the visionary behind Washington, D.C.’s inaugural Pride event in 1975. Attendees can look forward to an electrifying music lineup featuring performances by Jennifer Lopez, Cynthia Erivo, RuPaul, Troye Sivan, Kim Petras, Tinashe, Zedd, and many more.
