As Orville Peck wraps up his exciting debut on the big screen in Kitao Sakurai’s highly anticipated film Street Fighter, he’s eager to dive back into his music career. The talented artist, known for his unique sound and style, portrays Vega in this live-action adaptation by Legendary Entertainment. On Saturday, he celebrated his final day of filming in Australia by sharing some memorable behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram.

Peck reflected on his two-month journey in Australia, saying, “My time making the @streetfightermovie has come to an end. This experience has given me countless unforgettable memories, challenges, and, most importantly, a cast and crew I adore.” He continued, “The dedication, hard work, laughter, and even tears poured into this film will likely remain known only to us, but I can’t wait for everyone to witness the magic and integrity we aimed to create every day on set.” He humorously added, “Now it’s time for this spotted horse to return to my music and spend time with my dog, but until October 2026—mama, that’s a hadouken!”

Orville Peck recently made his Broadway debut as the Emcee in the acclaimed revival of Cabaret, and in June, Deadline announced his casting in Street Fighter. The film features a star-studded ensemble, including Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, Roman Reigns, Rayna Vallandingham, Olivier Richters, Mel Jarnson, Eric André, Hirooki Goto, Vidyut Jammwal, David Dastmalchian, Callina Liang, Andrew Schulz, Cody Rhodes, and Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson.

Originally launched in 1987, Street Fighter is a legendary fighting game franchise that focuses on intense one-on-one battles among a diverse roster of martial artists. The storyline often revolves around a global tournament organized by M. Bison, the leader of the nefarious Shadaloo organization. Since its inception, the franchise has sold over 55 million units worldwide, solidifying its place in gaming history.
