A24 has announced the premiere dates for its latest films on Max, including On Becoming a Guinea Fowl, Opus, and Death of a Unicorn. Here’s when you can catch these exciting releases:

On Becoming a Guinea Fowl will be available for streaming starting Friday, July 4, with its linear debut on HBO following on Monday, July 7, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Directed by Rungano Nyoni, this poignant film follows Shula, who discovers her uncle’s body on a desolate road at night. As funeral rituals unfold, she and her cousins unearth hidden secrets within their middle-class Zambian family. The film, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, features a talented cast including Susan Chardy, Elizabeth Chisela, and Henry B.J. Phiri, and is produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, and Tim Cole.

Opus will stream starting Friday, July 11, and will debut on HBO on Saturday, July 12, at 8:00 p.m. ET. This cult thriller, which premiered at Sundance, stars Ayo Edebiri as a young writer who is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star, played by John Malkovich, who vanished 30 years ago. Surrounded by a cult of devoted fans and overzealous journalists, she becomes ensnared in the star’s sinister plans. The film, written and directed by Mark Anthony Green, also features Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino, and Tatanka Means. It is produced by Collin Creighton, Brad Weston, Poppy Hanks, Jelani Johnson, Green, and Josh Bachove.
- Death of a Unicorn will be available for streaming on Friday, July 25, with its HBO debut on Saturday, July 26, at 8:00 p.m. ET. In this genre-bending film, a father (Paul Rudd) and daughter (Jenna Ortega) accidentally kill a unicorn while heading to a weekend retreat, where Rudd’s billionaire boss (Richard E. Grant) aims to exploit the creature’s miraculous healing powers. The cast also includes Will Poulter, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, Jessica Hynes, and Téa Leoni. Alex Scharfman directed the film from his own screenplay, producing alongside Drew Houpt, Lucas Joaquin, Lars Knudsen, Tyler Campellone, Tim Headington, and Theresa Steele Page.
