David Fincher’s Exciting Sequel to "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" Begins Casting for Summer Production

David Fincher is gearing up for an exciting sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s acclaimed film, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." This highly anticipated project is set to kick off production this summer, and Netflix is behind the scenes. Joining the star-studded cast is Brad Pitt, alongside Scott Caan and Elizabeth Debicki, adding to the film’s allure.

While many details about the storyline remain under wraps, the sequel is expected to focus on Cliff Booth, portrayed by Pitt, who was the former stuntman and body double for TV actor Rick Dalton in Tarantino’s 2019 film. Interestingly, this installment will take place in a later time period, revealing new facets of Cliff’s character.

There is speculation regarding the influence of Tarantino’s 2021 novel, which expands on Cliff’s backstory, including the mysterious circumstances surrounding his wife’s death. Originally, the story was based on a script Tarantino penned for himself to direct, but after some deliberation, Pitt convinced him to allow Fincher to take the helm.

One insider humorously remarked, “This film is more secretive than Star Wars,” highlighting the project’s enigmatic nature. The roles of Caan and Debicki have not been disclosed, but sources suggest that the narrative will feature two pivotal female characters: one managing a bar and mud wrestling venue, and the other being a trophy wife. It remains to be seen whether Debicki will portray one of these roles or take on a different character altogether.

For Caan, this film marks a reunion with Pitt, with whom he starred in the beloved "Ocean’s Eleven" trilogy in the early 2000s. Production is set to begin in July in California, building anticipation among fans and industry insiders alike.

Caan, the son of the late acting legend James Caan, has enjoyed a successful television career in recent years, notably starring in CBS’s long-running series "Hawaii Five-O" and Fox’s "Alert: Missing Persons Unit." His film credits include iconic titles such as "Varsity Blues" and "Gone in 60 Seconds."

Debicki, widely recognized for her portrayal of Princess Diana in the hit Netflix series "The Crown," has also made waves in films like Ti West’s "Maxxxine," James Gunn’s "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," and Christopher Nolan’s "Tenet." Both actors are represented by CAA, with Caan also having representation from Linden Entertainment and Sloane Offer.

Stay tuned for more updates as this project develops, promising to be a thrilling continuation of the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" legacy!
