Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone Team Up for Exciting New Muppets Movie Featuring Miss Piggy

In an exciting announcement, Jennifer Lawrence, known for her role in The Hunger Games, has confirmed that she and Emma Stone are collaborating on their first project together: a Muppets movie centered around the iconic character Miss Piggy. Created by the Jim Henson Company’s Bonnie Erickson in 1974 for The Muppet Show, Miss Piggy has become a beloved pop culture figure, celebrated for her charm, style, and fierce personality.

Although Lawrence and Stone have never worked together before, they have developed a close friendship through their mutual connection with actor Woody Harrelson. He has collaborated with both actresses on different projects, including The Hunger Games and Zombieland. Interestingly, both Lawrence and Stone share the distinction of winning an Academy Award for Best Actress in their 20s, adding another layer of camaraderie between them.

What We Know About the Upcoming Miss Piggy Movie

During a recent interview on the Las Culturistas podcast with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, Lawrence excitedly revealed details about the Miss Piggy film. “I don’t know if I can announce this, but I’m just going to,” she said. “Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie, and Cole Escola is writing it.” When asked if they would also appear in the film, Lawrence responded, “I think so… We have to.”

Additionally, Lawrence addressed rumors regarding her potential involvement in a remake of the classic film Death Becomes Her, originally starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. While she clarified that the speculation stemmed from fan casting, she expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity: “It would be great. I would love to. I mean, I would be there.”

Fans can eagerly anticipate Lawrence’s next performance in the comedy-drama Die My Love, set to debut on November 7, alongside Robert Pattinson. She is also slated to star in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming mystery thriller, What Happens at Night, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio.
