When it comes to making an impact, few moments are as thrilling as an athlete’s first appearance in the MLB All-Star Game. Seattle Mariners pitcher Bryan Woo, who made his MLB debut in 2023, has finally secured his spot on the American League roster this season.

In an unforgettable moment, Woo shared the exciting news with his parents over the phone, a heartfelt exchange that the Mariners captured on video for fans to enjoy.

During the call, Woo initially kept the conversation light, discussing his upcoming start against the New York Yankees in The Bronx. But then he dropped the big news with a playful question: "Do you guys want to go to Atlanta after that?"

The reaction from his father, Clayton, was priceless—a scream of joy erupted on the other end of the line. "No freaking way!" he exclaimed, his excitement escalating as Woo’s emotions began to surface.

Woo’s mother, Hilary, soon joined the conversation, her astonishment palpable. "Holy s—, Bryan! Oh my god, no way!" she exclaimed, sharing in the joy of her son’s achievement. After the initial shock wore off, Clayton confirmed they would definitely be heading to Atlanta for this year’s All-Star Game.

Bryan Woo has been on fire this season, boasting an impressive 2.77 ERA over 17 starts, with 104 strikeouts and only 19 walks across 107.1 innings pitched. He’s building on a solid 2024 season, where he posted a 2.89 ERA over 22 starts.

As he shared the news with his parents, Woo also revealed that he would be joining fellow Mariners stars Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez, and Andrés Muñoz on the American League roster.
