Exciting News: Madeleine McGraw Joins the Cast of ‘SuperUnknown’
We’re thrilled to announce that Madeleine McGraw, known for her standout role in The Black Phone, has officially signed on to star in the upcoming supernatural thriller, SuperUnknown. This coming-of-age film, crafted by writers Chris and Charlie Frazier, will be directed by the talented duo known as The Brothers Riedell, who previously brought us A Nice Girl Like You and Camp Takota.
Filming is set to begin this fall in the picturesque landscapes of New Mexico. SuperUnknown follows the gripping story of a high school student who uncovers a shocking secret: his parents have been keeping a supernatural creature hidden from the world. When the creature escapes and wreaks havoc on their suburban neighborhood, he and his bandmates must confront it in a battle for survival.
While details about McGraw’s specific role are still under wraps, her talent has already made waves in the industry. Recently honored with the CinemaCon Rising Star of 2025 Award, the 16-year-old actress has solidified her reputation in the horror genre with her remarkable performance as Gwen in Blumhouse’s hit film, The Black Phone, and is set to reprise her role in the highly anticipated sequel, which releases on October 17. McGraw has also appeared in notable films such as American Sniper, Pacific Rim: Uprising, and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The Brothers Riedell, hailing from the Bay Area, have built an impressive portfolio, following up their comedy Camp Takota with the action-comedy Bad Night and the romantic comedy A Nice Girl Like You, featuring Lucy Hale and distributed by Vertical.
Writers Chris and Charlie Frazier began their journey in 2012 with their pilot Flinch, sold to USA Network. Since then, they have collaborated with major studios including MGM, Warner Bros., and Fox, developing a diverse range of projects. Their current slate includes Radical, a biopic about civil rights activist Yuri Kochiyama produced by Nina Yang at Forest Whitaker’s Significant Pictures, A Hitman’s Christmas, an action-comedy produced by Todd Garner and Derek Kolstad, and Untethered, a half-hour docucomedy set in a mountain town after a bizarre event causes Earth to lose gravity for five minutes.
Madeleine McGraw is represented by Coast to Coast Talent Group, The Burstein Company, and Schreck Rose Dapello. Meanwhile, Chris and Charlie Frazier are repped by Circle Management & Production and Felker Toczek Suddleson.
