Exciting News: Lizzy Greene and Harry Collett Star in the Adaptation of Tammara Webber’s Bestselling Novel "Easy"
We’re thrilled to announce that Lizzy Greene, known for her role in "Ransom Canyon," and Harry Collett from "House of the Dragon," will lead the cast of the highly anticipated coming-of-age romance film "Easy." This film is an adaptation of Tammara Webber’s bestselling novel, which has captivated readers since its self-publication in 2012.
Directed by the talented Australian filmmaker Luke Eve, renowned for his work on the web series "Low Life" and "High Life," as well as the feature film "I Met A Girl," "Easy" recently completed principal photography in the stunning landscapes of Malta. The film is produced by an impressive team, including Ryan Hamilton (known for "Hotel Mumbai" and "Possessor"), Addam Bramich ("Poker Face," "Ice Fall," "Shiver"), Volodymyr Artemenko ("A Working Man," "Wife and Dog," "Shiver"), and Anna Todd, author of the "After" series.
In "Easy," Lizzy Greene takes on the role of Jacqueline Wallace, a college freshman striving to rebuild her life after experiencing a traumatic event. Harry Collett portrays Lucas Maxfield, a mysterious classmate with a troubled past who unexpectedly becomes a pillar of strength and connection for Jacqueline.
Tammara Webber’s "Easy" was groundbreaking in the emerging new adult genre and has continued to resonate with readers for its authentic portrayal of trauma recovery and the transformative power of love and self-empowerment. The novel has been translated into over 20 languages, and its publishing rights were acquired by Penguin/Razorbill in the UK and Penguin/Berkley in the U.S.
“We optioned ‘Easy’ many years ago because we fell in love with Tammara’s book. We’re incredibly proud to bring this project to life with Luke at the helm,” said producer Ryan Hamilton. “We couldn’t have imagined better choices for Jacqueline and Lucas than Lizzy and Harry, who both deliver the vulnerability and strength that this story needs,” added Addam Bramich.
Tammara Webber expressed her excitement as well, sharing, “I’m thrilled to see Lizzy and Harry bring my characters to life under Luke’s skilled direction. This is a spectacular team.”
The production team, including Hamilton, Bramich, and Artemenko, has several projects in post-production, including survival thrillers "Zipline" and "Ascent," as well as "Shiver," an adaptation of the first book in Maggie Stiefvater’s bestselling young adult fantasy series. Their next project will be "Spring Girls," a modern retelling of Louisa May Alcott’s classic "Little Women."
Lizzy Greene is represented by Verve Talent and Literary Agency and Brave Artists Management, while Harry Collett is represented by Curtis Brown Group. Director Luke Eve is represented by Feig Finkel, and Tammara Webber’s literary rights are managed by Jane Dystel of Dystel, Goderich & Bourret.
