This Broadway season has been buzzing with excitement as some of the biggest names in theater, including Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit, Keanu Reeves, and Kristin Chenoweth, came together for Variety’s annual Business of Broadway Breakfast. This exclusive event offered a sneak peek into the most anticipated shows of the fall and featured engaging discussions with the stars of “Chess,” including Michele, Tveit, and Nicholas Christopher.
The breakfast also highlighted the talented cast and creatives behind “The Queen of Versailles,” such as Chenoweth, F. Murray Abraham, Stephen Schwartz, Michael Arden, and Lindsey Ferrentino. Additionally, “Waiting for Godot” leads Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter were present, along with “Ragtime” stars Caissie Levy, Brandon Uranowitz, John Clay III, and director Lear DeBessonet.
Ethan Slater, the star of “Wicked: For Good” and the upcoming play “Marcel on the Train,” hosted the event and shared his thoughts on the vibrant Broadway community. “What a beautiful thing it is to be a part of a community where people devote their time and energy, whether or not they’re getting paid, to creating art that resonates with audiences,” he said. He also extended his gratitude to Variety for providing a space for this passionate community to come together and enjoy a meal without worrying about the bill.
This year’s Business of Broadway Breakfast not only celebrated the incredible talent within the industry but also emphasized the unity and dedication of those who strive to make art that connects with people.
