Justin Hartley Teases Season 3 of “Tracker”: What to Expect from Colter Shaw
Justin Hartley is giving fans a sneak peek into his character Colter Shaw in the highly anticipated Season 3 of CBS’s hit series "Tracker." At the premiere of his new movie "Bride Hard" in Los Angeles, Hartley shared intriguing details about the upcoming season, stating, “We’ll dive deep into why my mother hired this guy. Was she trying to protect her kids? Was there an affair? Could the government be involved? Why did she keep this from us for so long? Why lead me to believe my brother was involved when he wasn’t? It feels like a divide-and-conquer tactic. There’s definitely some deep psychological drama there that we’ll explore.”
Hartley appreciates the show’s enigmatic nature, saying, “One of the things I love is that every time we answer a question, five more pop up. It’s like Colter is becoming more complex with each episode, and I really enjoy that aspect of our show.” Filming for the new season of "Tracker" is set to begin in July.
In "Bride Hard," Hartley stars alongside Rebel Wilson, with whom he previously collaborated in the 2022 film "Senior Year." In this action-packed comedy, Hartley plays Chris, the groom’s best man, who finds himself helping a group of mercenaries that crash a wedding. Wilson portrays Sam, a secret agent whose cover is compromised while facing off against the intruders. The film also features a talented cast, including Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, and Stephen Dorff.
Hartley was particularly drawn to the role of a character that diverges from his usual persona. “I found it fascinating to play someone who’s a bit of a worm and a buffoon. It was a refreshing challenge,” he explained. He also praised Wilson for her impressive stunt work, especially in their fight scene together. “We didn’t have much time to rehearse, but she handled the choreography brilliantly. I was just trying to stay out of her way, and she did a fantastic job without cracking me!”
The camaraderie among the cast was palpable, with Sherry Cola, who plays Wilson’s handler, expressing her excitement: “I love it! Women can do it all; we can save the day and break stereotypes. Rebel has built an incredible career, and I can’t wait for everyone to see her in this action-packed role.”
Director Simon West echoed these sentiments, commending Wilson’s commitment to the action scenes: “She really threw herself into it. She’s tough and wanted to perform as many stunts as she could herself. Her style is unique—imagine John Wick on steroids!
