Sinner Set for First-Round Match Against Vít Kopriva at Wimbledon
At just 23 years old, Italian tennis sensation Jannik Sinner is poised to make a strong start at Wimbledon. Sinner is expected to face Czech player Vít Kopriva in his opening match, provided that the world No. 80 successfully navigates his first-round qualifier.
As the tournament progresses, Sinner may encounter tougher competition in the round of 16, where he could potentially meet the 13th seed, Tommy Paul. Additionally, fourth seed Taylor Fritz is also in Sinner’s half of the draw, though they wouldn’t face each other until the semi-finals.

On the other side of the draw, Carlos Alcaraz is set to compete against either Italian Mattia Bellucci or Ukraine’s Damir Dzumhur. While Dzumhur was once ranked 18th in the world seven years ago, both players currently find themselves outside the top 50.
If Alcaraz aims to exact revenge on Sinner, he will first need to overcome Alexander Zverev, should both players reach the semi-final stage. Notably, Alcaraz secured the Cincinnati title in 2023, while Sinner emerged victorious in the same tournament the previous year.
