Exciting Cast Joins Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen in the New Comedy Drama "Babies"
The highly anticipated comedy-drama "Babies" is currently filming in Los Angeles, and it just got even more exciting with the addition of a stellar cast! Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, Zach Cherry, and Kate Berlant are joining Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen in this fresh take on parenting and friendship, directed by the talented Lauren Miller Rogen.
"Babies," produced by AGC Studios and Monarch Media, tells the heartfelt story of Annie (played by Kendrick) and her husband Aaron (played by Rogen), who are grappling with the decision of whether to start a family. Their lives take an unexpected turn when a recently divorced friend moves in with her four-year-old child, forcing them into an impromptu co-parenting situation.
Joining the ensemble cast, Rae, Stevens, Cherry, and Berlant will take on key supporting roles that promise to add depth and humor to the film. Lauren Miller Rogen, who previously directed "Like Father," is capturing the essence of this unique story on location in Los Angeles, thanks to support from the California Tax Credit program.
AGC Studios and CAA Media Finance are co-representing the worldwide rights for "Babies," with AGC handling sales at the American Film Market. The film is produced by Miller Rogen and Jen W. Ray for LYLAS Pictures, alongside Stuart Ford for AGC Studios and Steve Barnett for Monarch Media. The executive producers include Miguel A. Palos Jr. and Zach Garrett for AGC, Alan Powell and Vicky Patel for Monarch, and Sophie Høegh for LYLAS.
Issa Rae, renowned for creating and starring in HBO’s "Insecure," has recently appeared in "Barbie" and "American Fiction." Dan Stevens, who gained fame from "Downton Abbey," was last seen in "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" and the Netflix series "Zero Day." Zach Cherry is known for his role in Apple TV+’s "Severance" and co-hosting "The Great American Baking Show" on Roku. Kate Berlant co-created and starred in the A24/Peacock special "Would It Kill You to Laugh?" and is set to appear in the upcoming project "Maddie’s Secret."
