Impact Collaborative Expands to Los Angeles with New Office and Social Impact Entertainment Studio
Impact Collaborative, a prominent network of non-profit organizations based in New York, has officially launched its Los Angeles office at The Preserve in Hollywood. This expansion marks a significant step in the organization’s mission to promote socially impactful storytelling through its newly established Social Impact Entertainment Studio.
The studio aims to fill the gap left by Participant Media, which ceased operations last year after two decades of producing socially conscious content. One of the exciting projects in the works is a documentary feature by filmmaker Ben Levin, spotlighting the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey team as they gear up for a highly anticipated rematch against Canada in Milan, Italy, in 2026.
To support its creative ambitions, Impact Collaborative is putting the finishing touches on a state-of-the-art soundstage at The Preserve LA, which will serve as a hub for various podcasts and multimedia projects. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is expected to take place this fall, signaling the beginning of a new chapter for the organization.
Dr. Claire Wang, the inaugural executive director of Impact Collaborative, shared her enthusiasm for the new endeavor: “Los Angeles is globally recognized for its creativity and storytelling prowess. It also embodies resilience, diversity, and community spirit. Impact Collaborative thrives on innovation through collaboration, connecting non-profit organizations with business solutions and impactful narratives. I can’t imagine a better place to chart a new course for our mission.”
Additionally, Impact Collaborative has strengthened its advisory board with the appointment of Brandy Curry, the chief of staff of the Television Academy and a producer for the Emmys. Traci Donnelly, founder and president of Impact Collaborative, expressed her excitement about this new collaboration: “Brandy’s exceptional talent for crafting narratives that inspire action is exactly what we need to foster understanding and garner support for our initiatives. I look forward to working with someone who truly understands the power of authentic storytelling in driving social impact.”
With its new Los Angeles office and innovative projects on the horizon, Impact Collaborative is poised to make a significant impact in the realm of socially conscious media. Stay tuned for more updates on their upcoming initiatives!
