Fremantle Poland Welcomes Julita Brutus as New Managing Director
Fremantle Poland is excited to announce the appointment of Julita Brutus as its new Managing Director, following the departure of Piotr Radzymiński, who led the company for nearly 25 years. Brutus has been a vital part of Fremantle for the past decade, starting her journey as the Sales & Acquisitions Manager. In 2019, she advanced to Head of Sales and Development, where she played a key role in successful projects, including the Netflix series Love Never Lies and the upcoming local adaptation of Love is Blind.
Julita will report directly to Georgette Schlick, Fremantle’s CEO for Northern Europe. "With over 10 years of experience at Fremantle, Julita brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. I look forward to collaborating closely with her as we aim to expand Fremantle’s presence in Poland and enhance our portfolio," said Schlick.
Radzymiński, who has been at the helm since 2001, is well-known for producing popular shows such as Idol, the long-running Between Friends, Farmer Wants a Wife, Family Feud, Poland’s Got Talent, and Rhythm + Flow.
Channel 4 & YouTube Team Up for "Crash For Cash" Investigation
In an exciting collaboration, Channel 4 and YouTube are set to launch a documentary titled Crash for Cash: Uncovered, which delves into the intriguing world of car insurance scams. Investigative journalist Mike Okay leads the project, which takes viewers into the depths of the scam operation, guided by the enigmatic gang leader, Abdul. Produced by Ben Zand’s independent company, Zandland, this documentary exemplifies Channel 4’s commitment to innovative content on YouTube.

Scarlett Johansson’s Directorial Debut at UK Jewish Film Festival
Scarlett Johansson’s highly anticipated directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, will be showcased at the upcoming UK Jewish Film Festival, alongside films featuring renowned actors such as Jodie Foster, Kyra Sedgwick, Stephen Fry, and David Baddiel. Now in its 29th year, the festival aims to highlight the rich diversity of British-Jewish life through a blend of emerging and established filmmakers.
In June, the UK Jewish Film organization introduced the Changing Perspectives Film Fund, which will support the production of four new short narrative films focusing on teenage protagonists over the next six months, aimed at both educational and festival programming. The festival will take place in various cinemas across London and beyond starting next month.
