Cleveland Browns Rookie Quinshon Judkins Arrested Following Alleged Domestic Violence Incident
In recent news, Quinshon Judkins, a rookie running back for the Cleveland Browns, was arrested in Florida earlier this month following allegations of domestic violence. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department took Judkins into custody over the weekend after an incident involving a physical altercation with a romantic partner.
Drafted by the Browns with the 36th overall pick after an impressive season at Ohio State, Judkins was reportedly involved in a heated argument with his partner shortly after their arrival at Fort Lauderdale Airport on July 7. According to a police report, the disagreement escalated due to Judkins’s frustration over text messages he received from family members while waiting for their luggage.
The woman involved in the incident stated that she attempted to clarify the situation regarding the messages, but the argument intensified once they were in their rental car. Eyewitness accounts from the police report reveal that Judkins allegedly struck the woman in the mouth with a closed fist, causing visible bruising on her chin.
The conflict reportedly continued inside the vehicle, where the woman claimed Judkins turned around and hit her multiple times on her left arm and leg, resulting in additional bruising.
Days later, on July 12, the victim contacted law enforcement to report the incident, explaining that she hesitated to come forward immediately because she felt guilty about Judkins’s recent success in his football career.
Following his arrest, Judkins was released after posting a $2,500 bond. A judge has mandated that he refrain from contacting the alleged victim and prohibited him from accessing firearms. The Cleveland Browns organization is aware of the situation and is currently gathering more information.
