Introducing Deadline Dinners: A New Series Celebrating Women in Storytelling
Deadline is excited to announce the launch of a new event series called Proper Presents: Deadline Dinners. This initiative aims to create a space for open conversations, celebrate innovative storytelling, and foster a sense of community among writers.
Join us for the inaugural event on Tuesday, June 24, hosted by the talented Tory Kamen, the screenwriter behind Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, which recently premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Kamen will be welcoming a dynamic group of young female screenwriters to highlight the unique viewpoints and compelling narratives that women are bringing to the entertainment industry.
All events will take place at the stunning Santa Monica Proper Hotel and will be curated as part of Proper Hotels’ cultural initiative, “Proper Presents.” Each gathering will feature a specially crafted menu by Proper’s award-winning culinary team, exquisite cocktail pairings from Diageo’s Don Julio brand, and engaging roundtable discussions.
Stay tuned for more events in this series, as we continue to shine a spotlight on remarkable voices in storytelling! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of a vibrant community celebrating the art of writing.
