Deion Sanders Updates Fans on Health Status: Not Fully Recovered Yet

In a candid update, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders revealed that he is not "all the way recovered" from a health issue that has kept him away from the field for most of the offseason. The former NFL superstar shared insights into his condition in a recent YouTube video posted by his son, Deion Jr., where he was seen preparing for an ice bath to aid his recovery.

During the video, Sanders admitted, "We’ve been working, we’ve been fishing – my leg is still gone from yesterday morning. You know I’m still going through something; I ain’t all the way recovered." This statement highlights the ongoing challenges he faces, even as he remains committed to his team’s progress.

Earlier this month at the Big 12 media day, Sanders skillfully sidestepped questions about his health, emphasizing his focus on the team. "I’m not here to talk about my health. I’m here to talk about my team," he stated, adding, "God has truly blessed me. Not a care in the world, not a want or desire in the world."

In the latest video, Sanders showcased his active lifestyle, engaging in various physical activities, including shooting basketball at home and taking a tennis lesson with his son. "We just had a tremendous session of tennis. Let me tell you something, all you tennis players – I’ve always had respect for you, but I’ve grown in my respect for you. That was a workout," he shared, humorously adding, "my legs are gone, my back is hurting."

Additionally, in a heartwarming moment with his daughter Shelomi, they discussed a recent run they completed together. "We just ran 1.3 miles," Shelomi noted, to which Sanders replied, "You ran; I did the best I could."

As Sanders enters his third season with the Buffaloes, following a successful 9-4 record and a bowl appearance last year, he faces a new challenge this season without key players like his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
