Ariana Grande has officially completed filming for Focker-in-Law, the highly anticipated new chapter in the Meet the Parents franchise, set to premiere next year. The two-time Grammy-winning pop sensation celebrated this milestone with an engaging Instagram carousel, revealing her character’s name, Olivia Jones. While details about her role remain largely under wraps, Grande shared her excitement, saying, “These past few months have been unimaginably special. I love my Fockers and my Byrnes so much! I’ll miss this incredible group terribly. See you next November! ♡” Accompanying her heartfelt message were behind-the-scenes photos featuring her co-stars Ben Stiller, Beanie Feldstein, Skyler Gisondo, and Eduardo Franco.
In September, Stiller spoke to E! News about his experience working with Grande, noting, “What’s surprising, and maybe not surprising, is how seamlessly she blended in. She’s such a professional; her comedic timing is impeccable. Obviously, she’s an amazing singer, but she also showcased her humor and talent in Wicked. What she’s doing in this film is truly unique, and we’re having a fantastic time collaborating with her.”
Scheduled for release on November 25, 2026, Focker-in-Law is written and directed by John Hamburg and marks the fourth installment in the beloved franchise that began with the 2000 hit Meet the Parents. This film follows Greg Focker, a nurse who faces a series of comical mishaps while visiting his soon-to-be in-laws, originally portrayed by Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner, both of whom are set to reprise their roles. Teri Polo will also return as Pam Byrnes, Greg’s girlfriend-turned-wife. There’s still uncertainty surrounding Barbra Streisand’s return as Roz Focker, Greg’s mother, especially after she expressed frustration about being paid less than her male counterparts in the previous films.
In addition to her role in Focker-in-Law, Ariana Grande has an exciting year ahead. Fans can look forward to her involvement in Wicked: For Good, her upcoming 2026 tour in support of her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine, and her voice role in the animated feature Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, based on Dr. Seuss’s beloved children’s classic.
Stay tuned for more updates on Ariana Grande’s projects and the upcoming Focker-in-Law!
