Rajesh Mapuskar Takes the Helm of Groundbreaking Film "Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal" Using Generative AI
Renowned Indian National Film Award-winning director Rajesh Mapuskar, known for his acclaimed works like “Ventilator” and “Ferrari Ki Sawaari,” is set to direct a pioneering film titled “Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal.” This Hindi-language film is poised to be one of India’s first theatrical experiences crafted using cutting-edge generative AI technology.
The film will delve into the captivating story of Lord Hanuman, a revered figure in Hindu mythology. Produced by Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment in collaboration with Collective Media Network’s Historyverse, “Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal” is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on Hanuman Jayanti in 2026, a day dedicated to celebrating the birth of this beloved deity.
Mapuskar’s extensive background in filmmaking adds great value to the project. He previously worked as an associate director on blockbuster hits including Rajkumar Hirani’s “Munnabhai MBBS,” “Lage Raho Munnabhai,” and the massive success “3 Idiots.” His expertise promises to elevate the storytelling in this innovative venture.
Supporting the production is a dedicated team of over 50 engineers from Galleri5, the technology arm of Collective Artists Network. They are collaborating with cultural scholars, literary experts, and writers to ensure that the narrative remains authentic and deeply rooted in tradition.
