The New York Yankees are facing a tough stretch as they grapple with recent losses. After falling to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, the Yankees have now lost two games in a row and six of their last ten. Adding to the team’s woes is the uncertainty surrounding star player Aaron Judge’s health.
The reigning American League MVP was removed from Saturday’s lineup due to an "elbow issue," as described by Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

During a press briefing on Saturday morning, Boone explained, "He’s dealing with an elbow issue." He noted that Judge had some trouble throwing the ball from the outfield during Friday’s 12-5 defeat to the Phillies, although he was still in the lineup for that game.
In response to the discomfort, the team arranged for an MRI to assess Judge’s condition. Boone mentioned, "Obviously, you guys asked about it in Toronto, but he felt like it was fine on the off day. Then, (Friday) night, he couldn’t really throw well from the outfield. So, he came in today and got imaging on that. Obviously, it’s a concern, but we’ll wait and see."
In Friday’s game, Judge went hitless but managed to contribute with an RBI from a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning. Previously, he had served as the designated hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday but returned to his usual position in right field for the match against the Phillies.
As the Yankees look to turn their fortunes around, Marcus Stroman is set to take the mound for New York on Saturday, while Ranger Suarez will pitch for the visiting Phillies. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EDT.
